Formerly White Raven and Heart Quest in fan fiction, Myristica has gone the self-publishing route with original fiction in the Slash and Yaoi area.

Myristica's Pledge

My pledge is simply this:

I have many ideas on where to go with my story lines.  My favorite way to write them, however, is in episodic format (Act I-Scene 1, Act I-Scene 2, Act II-Scene 1, etc., rather than chapters or scene break symbols), one to two-hour episodes done in prose style.    I've written fan fiction in this matter and really enjoyed it because it was an easier way for me to focus on the plot and how to get from point A to point C by way of point B.  (It also gives me an idea of how story lines are written for television eps.)

My pledge to you is simply this...

2-3 monthly or bi-monthly episodes of the story lines that I already have or will be uploading: "Harp & Sword Chronicles", "Crimson Dawn", and coming soon: "GemInI Souls".  I have other story lines that I wish to work on as well.  I'm the type of person who cannot work on one story at a time.  I don't feel complete without some form of distraction as far as my writing.  I work on one, then I work on another, then I work on another.  But each piece is given my undivided attention at the moment I'm working on it.  I can promise at least 2 a month or 2-3 every two months.  It will be ongoing as long as the plot lines keep hitting my brain.  Once a series is finished with a story arc, I can decide to always come back to those characters at a later date with new plots.  These episodes will be anywhere from 30-55 pages (what I call two-hour eps, will be about 80-90 pages) with a teaser, four (or eight) acts, and an epilogue.  Each will be priced accordingly, and thus very, very reasonably.  I've always loved the comic book story arcs, because it gave me something to look forward to every month.  I want to do something similar with my stories, only done in prose rather than with drawing.  However, I will welcome any fan art that might be inspired by the stories.  I have a gallery set up for just such a means of creative expression.

Well, with that being said, I look forward to hearing your comments and even hoping you will tell me what characters you would like to see more of in the future:  Megar and Folon, Thaddeus and Stephen, or perhaps Kinarr and Shumway from "The Harp &  Sword Chronicles"?  More of Vic and Kevin, or Vic and Razeal from "The Dimenlien Chronicles" of which "Crimson Dawn" and "GemInI Souls" make up?  More of Razeal and Hampton perhaps?  Or perhaps some avenues Razeal and Sevrin have not experimented with?  Please join my Myristica Slash Group (Icon for joining is on home page) and let me know what you like about these characters.

Until then...

Happy Journeys and remember...
